Sunday Coffee ☕️ #0006
I wrote an 8,000 word guide.
Good morning!
3 weeks ago, I set out to write longer-form posts instead of the short-form text I was writing daily. Well, turns out longer-form posts take significantly longer to produce than I had anticipated.
Beyond the time factor of writing and editing, it also becomes a huge mental challenge and daunting task to complete, which simply wasn't there when I was writing 300 words daily.
Good news is, I've finished my 8,000 word guide that encompasses the most frequently asked questions about Shopify and building a micro-SaaS app in its ecosystem.
Presenting :drumroll:
👉 Building your first micro-SaaS app on ShopifyHere's an outline of the post:
- Why choose Shopify for your first micro-SaaS (and why you shouldn't)
- Discover problems, niches, and Shopify app ideas
- Standing out from competition
- Shopify App Store optimisation basics
- Find your #1 keyword
- Getting customers to review your Shopify app (by delivering great customer support)
- Getting the first customers for your Shopify app
- Finding early users and beta testers for your Shopify app outside the App Store
- Getting listed under the right categories & collections, and getting featured on the Shopify App Store
- The right pricing model for your Shopify app
- Optimising for trials
- Long term game plan in the Shopify App Store
With this post, I hope to have completely automated myself out of the loop. Because I'll be redirecting all future emails, DMs, or calls about Shopify apps to this post.
Which also means I will keep updating this post from time to time based on what your questions and what you think might be missing from it.
If you have any suggestions or questions that I haven't answered in the post, hit reply to this email and let me know!
As for me, I'm going to get back to writing short-form posts with the occasional long-form essay like this one. That will ensure that I remain consistent with writing.
Quick shoutout to my co-founder Sankalp. He has been writing consistently and it keeps me motivated to be consistent. If you're a software developer, you'll surely enjoy his blog posts.
